As a fan of a club that is used to being in a relegation scrap it is hard to get away from the bottom once it has hold of you.
As I write you have 16 pts. To be safe it is usually around 52 pts to have a chance of safety. So at least 36 pts are needed from tonight, or around 1.3 pts per game. This in theory should be easy but the problem is that if you have an upturn in form so does everyone else
It is as I say very hard to break away once in a relegation battle, because it is not by accident you are down there 16 pts from 18 games does not lie.
I cannot understand how a club with average crowds over 4,000 is down there most clubs would love support like that. As Sir Alex said ''Football bloody hell''

I have no idea sparky. I never had any information other than What was posted on here at the time and I believe the figure of £2m was mentioned at the time of the lease

The income generated by the fan base has been wasted by a succession of breathtakingly shocking decisions basically. It has been on going poor leadership that has led us here not just a bit of bad luck.

True - we deserve to be in the relegation zone. What I struggle to deal with is that we have gone from having the best defence in the league to, on the face of it, one of the worst.

Plenty of time to turn things around though!

Agreed

After decades of being hard up as a club, the waste of money over the last few seasons is shocking. We have had the money to compete through larger crowds, football fortune, sell on clauses and fans raising impressive amounts of money towards the playing budget.

Letting the Cae ras go would be the final nail in the coffin of this club.

The £300,000 quoted by SH as being required to be spent on the Groves would also be well beyond our means the way the gates are dropping and the football being served up being so poor as not to give any hope for increased revenue any time soon.

I might be wrong but I seemed to recall at the time the club directors stated that Glyndwr were unwilling to sell.

I believe that there was a local business group prepared to buy the freehold and let out to the club for a reasonable return. This didn't happen as it seemed to be an in house deal between club and Glyndwr. Probably Glyndwr seeing the regular annual income as the most attractive for them.
