I'm not sure I understand the Bryn Law clamour. Other than being a fan with a public profile, what does he bring to the table?

Influence and I'd expect contacts from within the game.

What position would you want him in and would it be within the existing structure or under a new private investor? Would he be expected to invest himself?

I don't think he'd want a role at the club given his location. It sounded like he had a role in a potential offer to buy the club, which I'd be open to given the current failings of the fan owned system. If he knows the investors and can get them back on board, I think our club board should drop some of their stupid rules and speak to them.

Not sure how you can blame the board?

The "Gate Approval Process" was put forward: https://wst.org.uk/www3/index.php/co...lution-results

It was democratically approved "
FOR = 292 VOTES

AGAINST = 2 VOTES

ABSTENTIONS = 5

RESOLUTION F WAS CARRIED"

There was a suggested change:
https://wst.org.uk/wp/?p=636

that went to a democratic vote and was defeated:

"RESOLUTION H

Summary: To amend the terms of a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) signed by potential investors as stipulated in the gate approval process for any investment that would change the capital structure of Wrexham AFC Limited.

Proposer: Bryn Law

“The Society directs the Society Board to amend the terms of a non-disclosure agreement signed by potential investors so that the confidentiality clause in such an agreement is altered whereby breach of confidentiality results in a penalty of £2000 rather than £50000.”

For- 102

Against- 322

Abstain- 20

This resolution was not carried.
"

If you wanted to be picky there was no stating of the £50k in the initial vote, however it clearly said "Society board to formulate investor NDA which will include a significant ‘Material Loss’ Clause" but I am sure members checked that out at meetings to get a ballpark of what is significant.

£100 is significant to some, £50k is significant to others.

As I said, not sure how you can say it is the board at fault, and if there are 'current failings of the fan owned system' it is the fans not being up to speed perhaps?

I'm mostly cautious about Bryn as we had the whole episode where he quit as president and said there should be a debate over the current structure without bothering to tell anyone what the issues were. Then we have the consortium he was said to be assisting. It's caused a bit of a furore and yet I still don't know who they were, how serious they were or what Bryn's role was.

If he was serious about a buy out he would go directly, along with his business partners, to the membership of the WST.

Initially proposed by the society, and the attempt to amend it was talked down by the society. They aren't wholly to blame but they aren't blame-free.
