'Those who do not learn from History are doomed to repeat it' (Santayana)
Many teams beat us in the 2007/08 season. Amongst them were; Stockport County (twice) Chesterfield (twice including a 0:4 defeat) Barnet (twice) Notts County Dagenham and Redbridge Does this not sound familiar? Support dropped throughout the season, the team was poor and performances even worse. By the time we'd all woken up to the reality of the situation it was too late. We all have a choice - stay away because the football is dire, the Board's decisions/appointments are ludicrous and the way the Club has shown such contempt to the DSA is unforgivable. Or...………………………………………..we can do everything possible to once again become the '12th' man. The team need all the help they can get and even if they can't change, we can. They have to see that we care and hopefully it will rub off. So learn from history - get to the games and support the Reds - we might be able to help to turn the tide, |

The damage is already done. The board appointed Keates knowing fans would boycott, they appointed him knowing it would divide the fanbase further, they appointed him knowing his football was dire, they appointed him knowing he used to get booed after winning a game for us such was the style of the performance, they appointed him knowing he wouldn't have a honeymoon period.
Happy clapping along to these mental decisions will have no positive effect at all. It could have much more of a negative effect. |

Though the board are ultimately to blame for this through poor managerial appointments etc all they can pretty much do now is give Keates the money to strengthen.
It is, as the poster above said, down to the players now. How much do they want it. |
