We have virtually lost every asset we ever held - eventually there will be nothing left to cling on - handing the club over to a lone investor means he / she can do whatever they wish.

But the bottom line is - why on earth would anyone want to invest in a basket case of a club with a decaying 3 sided ruin of a stadium and no assets ? They are not going to see any return on their investment are they - might as well burn money - we are not an attractive proposition to an outsider.
If we had a share issue (Bagger has suggested details of how this would work) we would restrict max shares to 49%.
We would also keep financial control restricted through current processes and procedures. This way they couldn’t rack up any debt.

We’re also looking for money in not out.

The only thing is the kudos it would bring reviving a fallen giant and getting us back to say L1 or championship, but that needs someone with a lot of money (to lose) who either loves wrexham or football enough to do it for the sheer love.

If that person existed then I'm surprised they havent made themselves known. If you believe such a person has made themselves known to the trust and been rebuffed then why wouldn't they go public?

I would imagine that if there was anyone who had really significant funds to invest in the club, then they would want some form of control over their investment, and would only invest on condition that WST functioned, solely in an advisory role; otherwise, they would merely be gifting their own money to WST

It's deeply upsetting when you look at what we are now. Everything that made Wrexham AFC special (and a FL club have gone):

We're crap in the FA Cup
The ground is an eyesore
The training facilities have gone
Our youth system has been stripped to the bone

We really are unrecognisable. Just another failing NL club.

Agree with this , effectively we need a new ground and new training ground. We will never find anyone who would want to invest this required money as well as funding a competitive team.

If things are as bad as you say, and I think it is worse, we have little to lose.

I agree.
It is so sad to watch this club falling apart.

The club is not falling apart. We are having a bad time football wise which can be turned round.
We do need to look at the loan market to improve the squad.

define bad time... 8 years sinking to our lowest low ever is more than a bad time. Unless you are one of those who applaud the boards feeble proclamations regarding points totals ?
