We do need to look at the loan market to improve the squad.
I mean, we've had a week and a half since Keates mentioned he'd have 1 or 2 new faces in. We're not utilising the loan market at all and that itself is a worry. Are teams reluctant to send players here on loan given our predicament? Can we afford decent loanees?

Apparently Mr Keates is working on it.
Expect 3 more defenders. Another crab in midfield and a short arse centre forward.
I have little faith in the manager and pray I'm wrong.

I'm with you there QR. Would like nothing more than a win today, but I'd take a point. Every point matters.

A sad state of affairs where I'd take a point at home.

Bloody hell, I wish it was just a poor squad this season and one crap manager we had to be concerned about.

From that article when he was talking about young players it seems like the only players available for us to sign are under23s with little to no first team experience. Probably not the type of players we need right now.

We have virtually lost every asset we ever held - eventually there will be nothing left to cling on - handing the club over to a lone investor means he / she can do whatever they wish.

But the bottom line is - why on earth would anyone want to invest in a basket case of a club with a decaying 3 sided ruin of a stadium and no assets ? They are not going to see any return on their investment are they - might as well burn money - we are not an attractive proposition to an outsider.
1. The majority of other clubs are in private hands.
2. What do they invest in?
3. A 100 year lease.on the ground IS an asset

I would agree that results could change things dramatically QR, but I think that you would need to be somewhat misguided to believe that the club is not going through a significant crisis at present. Aside from the absolutely dire football which has been served up for quite a few years now, we are staring at relegation to the conference North and attendences have dropped off sharply. Confidence and trust is at an all-time-low; the fan base seems to be fragmenting, and there appears to be a growing rift developing between a large number of fans and the boards of WST/WAFC. One group appears to be trying to force a change in the trusts leadership and direction, while others are saying that they are just walking away.
Of course, 20 wins on the bounce would change things enormously, although I dont really believe that it is going to happen, but the general mood appears to have changed over the last few weeks and it is becoming clear that some form of change is now needed.
