Correct. And they haven't even got the guts to say they aren't interested.

How do you know this to be true?

and again, the lease is an asset.

What the WST are not making clear is that if say £1m was offered then virtually all that £1m would go to the football side. Maybe a little would be put aside to undo the damage done by the current leadership. The WST would have no right to one penny from that £1m. Its not as if all the £1m would just line the pockets of a current owner (well... lets not go there) leaving us with the same situation we are in with regards to having wasted all the budget year after year. Also the new leadership would not be putting up £1m if they didn't have the business know how which the current leadership clearly do not. No way will anyone handover £1m to the current board to fund their lack of knowledge and mismanagement. And neither should they be expected too. Unfortunately the thinking of the ideologically driven mindset destroying our club says otherwise..

What a load of rubbish, people buy clubs in the hope they can take them as high up the pyramid as possible and make money on bigger crowds on game day & sponsorship.

This is it, in a nutshell.

We are ripe to be plucked from obscurity and guided to League 1 and beyond. When you see a club that is 2 leagues below it's natural level (natural in terms of attendances and potential) - then it's a massive opportunity. It wouldn't even take much investment to boost our budget to the highest in the league.

Ironically the only thing blocking this is a small group of poisonous, deluded fans hell bent on sticking with fan ownership whatever the cost. I doubt even relegation would change their minds, that's how deep their heads are buried up their own backsides.

I don't think you understand what a lease agreement is. While we have the lease on the ground, we can make money from it. That means that whoever buys the club would take over the lease and would be able to spin a profit from it if used correctly. That may come from football admission, concerts, food/drink sales, sponsorship & room hire. Should enough investment be made, our club could rise up the leagues where we'd see bigger gates, better sponsorship deals, bigger TV deals and greater tournament prize money. I hope I've explained it well enough for you.

Yes 10000%.

But who in their right mind would buy a club with no assets, and I can’t see the clique wanting to lose their power.

why does the club out price themselves for other sports/clubs to hire the ground? surely the more use for the ground/rooms etc increases the income and consequently playing budget?
