Default Should We Consider Semi Pro Players

There are many quality footballers in the the North West and North Wales playing part time football. They have good careers outside of football earning on average 30 to 50 K they are happy to train once or twice a week and most keep their fitness levels up to a high standard..
They earn on average £ 350 per game if they played 40 games a season the cost would be 14K per player, the average wage at Wrexham is around 30K.
These players will not give up good careers to sign a 2 year contract at our club as it is a massive gamble especially if you have a family and mortgage to pay.
Surely we must give this serious consideration as I am convinced we would able to attract a better quality of players than we have currently and signed in the past.

Yea looks good ...if you want to play in the Evostck leagues. If you sign players who are part time and have some better players who are full time you will have a team that is disjointed and full of good players propping up bad ones. If you have P/T players you have to have a completely P/T team really

such players would not want to be part of a side side side back hoof outfit tbh.

Going part time may not be a matter of choice if the club continues the way it is going.

We have a team that has two goodsih players and 9 mostly terrible ones that do work hard though.

I mentioned this a few years back that it should be something to be looked at. There were a few strikers in the league who had decent goal figures as part timers but wouldn't give up there day jobs. Given the lack of obvious training we do and ineptitude on the pitch i don't think it would be a massive jump for a part time player to come into our squad.

Thinking about it how many times have we been played off the pitch by part time teams and also looked physically knackered even with our superior fitness?

We have a part time mindset stemming from a board that does not recognise that it does not have the skills to run our business. Our position at the wrong end of 5th tier is that of a club unable to survive at this level. We may be kidding ourselves otherwise but everything about our club is an amateur part time make up the numbers outfit already. Quite why we pay full time wages (if we do ?) is beyond me if this is the result.

Isn’t this what we have done over the summer in fetching Macintosh, Bobb, Chambers and Barton in?

We'll be part time soon enough, so it think this is moot.
