Re: Why don’t you protest?
yes i care, i love Wrexham football club have done since i was a very small child and always will do, we can all protest either directly in meetings etc, which puts one in the forefront of all the condemning stares and finger pointing, or you can come in here and voice your displeasure anonymously which now maybe its too late many are doing, or you can take indirect action and protest by not going to a match, this is the only way the trust/board will understand, they are treating Wrexham supporters with contempt because they know the fans will keep on going no matter what bulldust is going on, it has been proved that the board/trust will not act upon criticism and now we find ourselves exactly where many open minded people predicted, the only way to force change is abstain from games, it may, may hurt the club in the short term but it is nothing compared to the long term damage already done, with a heavy heart i will not be attending until there is major changes and i am not alone, and for those who will say "go you will not be missed" i reply i may not be missed alone but with the help of other open minded true Wrexham supporters collectively we will be missed

Quote:
You can't just attend when things are going well, but claim a boycott when things aren't going well. If you protest it has to be to achieve something positive, but at the moment that doesn't exist. Dix does have an argument, put the club up for sale and see what's out there. If that's the aim, staying away won't help. If those calling for an EGM had a clear aim they would have more success, I read the thread last night and couldn't help but think it could be dominated by a kid in his bedroom with 3 or 4 usernames. So what's a realistic plan, for me it's support the team on the pitch, and, amazingly, Dix call for the club to be advertised for sale. I won't protest on a match day, I probably won't protest anyway tbh, but I do think the club needs change to move forward and I'll be petitioning the board for this, and hoping they can come up with something pretty damn quick.

Re: Why don’t you protest?
Fans are protesting by staying away.
RP probably represents @ 10% of fan base. This is shown by the support for the EGM. Fans don’t want to protest at games they just want to watch a game. We are down to about 3,400 from over 5,000 so we can see the level of discontent that has occurred. A protest over the owners has to be a separate process as per the constitution. OR are we talking about a different protest?

Re: Why don’t you protest?
There were attempts to protest last season after the manager shambles, and the board at the time instructed security and stewards to refuse entry to anyone with a protest banner and eject any protesting during the game.
This board cannot accept any criticism, and whether you are staff, volunteers or fans, if you don’t like the board or what they do then they consider you an traitor and will try to force you out. They don’t want people at games to support the team, they want fans to praise them for the great job they think they have done, and they are deeply offended when people don’t think that. They are using the WST rules to suit themselves, so its time to change the rules. |

Re: Why don’t you protest?
Don't think you can be stopped protesting or revealing banners as long as they are not offensive, no bad language, no threatening behaviour and no damage caused to the ground. Ideally any protests should be done after the final whistle as during the 90 mins of the game we must cheer the team to hopefully 3 points.
