Summer signings not good enough

Having just listened Ellis James' Feast of Football ep 100 was surprised to hear Iwan Roberts say that he had been told a few of the Summer signings weren't good enough for 3 tiers below the National League. That he had been speaking to an ex-Wrexham player coaching, 2 tiers below the NL south and they had looked at a number of the players and felt not good enough for that level. Which is absolutely incredible, if true. Guessing JBB and Chambers were the players, given where we signed them from.

Who ever is in charge of recruitment needs to be held to account; if it was BH it is no surprise he had to go. Makes Keates' job a massive challenge trying to stay in the NL with players not up to the Evo-stik or whatever the 8th tier is.

It's clearly what the club can afford, we haven't had a decent midfielder, winger or striker in nearly seven years. That's ok, we just do the same things over and over, as long as we have 100%fan ownership with the same clowns killing us.

We don't really do accountability here, unless you're the manager of course......

The whole club is sinking to the competency level of the board. Looking like that is 6th tier at best now.

I suspect the budget was blown on a couple of players (Hooper Redmond Grant) and we were forced to sign stocking fillers like JBB McIntosh and Chambers who then unfortunately have had to actually play due to injury. I maintain our budget is competitive it's just been woefully mismanaged

if Darlington is this good then surely he can spot a player or advise on a player,we new BH was well out of his depth, but he must of had his advisers??
