Second Disabled Platform update
Lo and behold, communication from the club; albeit uncorroborated and with a 'dig' at the DSA's initial proposal. https://wst.org.uk/wp/?p=1070
Who the heck is "building control"; we never had one involved with the 1st platform and I wonder why the DSA weren't invited to this on site meeting - no doubt they'll be given a fait accompli solution when the so called focus group is finally reconvened. |
Re: Second Disabled Platform update
The building control service at the local council ensures that building work complies with the Building Regulations, a set of standards intended to protect people's safety, health and welfare in and around built environments.

Re: Second Disabled Platform update
i am sure that building control would have had a say in the first platform, as there are access issues (approved document M) as well as fire (approved document B)
having being informally involved in the previous iteration of the second platform (along with the DSA AND the Board), i am glad to see that they are finally pushing through with a solution to the issues that were being encountered (large ramps, modifications to existing facilities etc) |
Re: Second Disabled Platform update
I would have thought the construction off site would have not been started until B Control and Planning had been approved.
