Its got the Llangollen Canal ,( the town itself too )close by and the country park and a World Heritage site. You only need to go to Ironbridge (another World Heritage site ) to see the bus loads of Chinease and every other nationality hoarding through the place!
If you have always lived in the immediate area all your life , do you think you might not be seeing what others may very well be ,especially in the years to come ?
Huff meister. Was only joking. Grew up in the area so know it very well.
Think Wxm need to let members know if there has been any outside interest with investment. If so then when, by who, how much, what clauses were in any offers? It's all been pretty quiet with all of this.
Things won't ever have got to that stage. The phone would be down long before that.
Might have something to do with the club being actively hostile to outside investment.
Ever since the WST was hijacked by an ideologically driven few there has been no intention of running the club in a way that would see it reach its potential. The club is now only a vehicle for those few to continue their failed experiment.

I am trying to understand the history here. Who were in charge of the wst pre the 'ideological ones' and how and when did the 'highjack' take place ?

The clique where always at the forefront but maybe not sitting on the boards. maybe hijack is the wrong term... they were always about to be fair.

The change occurred when 5 members of the wst board joined the club board, meaning the club board are not held to account, and are virtually untouchable because there is not enough remaining wst board members to remove them even if they wanted to.

There are only 4 WST board members on the club board.
The constitution demands that the WST has a majority of Football board members.
The members elect the trust board and have a chance annually to deselect / elect a candidate.(or 3) If you don't like a FC board member, don't vote for him when his time as a WST board member is up.
The trust board are required to nominate a minimum of 3 WST board members to the trust board.
If you are not on the trust board then you cannot have one of those positions.
Phil Salmon is at present the only person who has been asked to join the FC board as he has the skill set that was perceived to be missing.
Under consideration is a Director of Football position.
