Correct. And the Board are responsible for hiring the company. If security staff have overstepped their authority and remit, the company should discipline them.

If that is not dealt with effectively, the Board should terminate their contract if they fail to adapt.

Synergy are not accountable to the fans. However, the Board must be.

It appears club stewards stood by and allowed this to happen though, so this also needs to be looked at.

So basically a security guard assaulted a fan? Assault is a criminal offence - the club or the complainant should just get the police in. There is no way that guard should have a licence and it’s the polices job to investigate such crimes.

Has this been reported to the police?
