From what I've been told we are using Synergy because we don't have enough stewards. Synergy are licensed to be able to eject people from the ground exactly as they can from a pub or nightclub as our stewards have no such license. Without them we would require the same number of police as synergy in the ground and that is far more expensive. Without Synergy we couldn't stage games. They were originally hired by Glyndwr. There is however no excuse for the alleged heavy handed behaviour.

Our stewards are often credited as being amongst the most friendly and add to the matchday experience for away fans. I've always found them to be fantastic in the home end too.

The other security staff (black jackets) are the same lot who man the doors for Wrexham bars on Saturday nights. Some are alright, some are absolute dickheads. I'm assuming we hire them out of necessity rather than choice?
