Whilst I'm loathe to be doom and gloom I'm afraid this is very much how I see it as well. Rochdale will prob play a full first team as well for the replay now the draw has been made as they'll see a fairly nice route to the 3rd round now.

We let Rochdale off the hook last Sunday! They won't make the same mistake against us in their home replay!

The logic from this is to just give. Waste of time competing because things cannot possibly improve.

I disagree. Whilst we have squandered our best chance we should go to Spotland to win and progress. The outside possibility of a draw at a Premiership team in Round 3 is what the FA Cup is all about.

The extra revenue then becomes available and can be transformational if used effectively. DK might spend it better than Hughes would have done.

But we cannot underestimate either Rochdale or Boston because they will relish the opportunity, too.

They played their first team on Saturday. The only surprise omission was Matheson, who was on the bench.

I'd imagine we will lose the replay though. They've got to play better at home surely.

No, we should always compete in the FA Cup.

That doesn't change the fact that the club wastes money on multiple managers, assistant managers and poor players.

Our money doesn't work hard for us, at all. The idea that we are well run off the pitch is a fallacy, as there is only falling standards on the pitch; the entire reason for any football club's existence.

PD Keates might spend it better??? 🍻 you have just given me a good laugh on a very wet cold miserable day.

He is clueless remember his last January signings? Deverdics, Franks a fat old centre half who was not good enough for Harrogate then a division below converted to a supposed striker.

Keates I loved him as a footballer but as a manager the only thing one his CV is twat and a failure unless you count getting his home town club relegated a success.

He should not be near our club the way and timing of his leaving was a feck you to our club who took the chance on a novice and gave him the job... No forgiveness from me because of the timing.

To be fair JND I think PD is just saying that out of pure hope than expectation. I agree with you mind, his signings not just in January but in the summer too were iffy and that's being kind.
Massanka, Ainge, Hurst, Akil Wright, Kelly, MacKreth, Ferdinand Takyi all utterly dreadful signings.
