Wrexham Inclusion FC
Just watched an episode of "Ill Gotten Gains" which featured a lengthy segment on Wrexham Inclusion and how they benefit from Proceeds of Crime. Very interesting and a little sad that they felt they needed to "go their own way".

Wasn't it that they didn't feel they had to go their own way, the club forced their hand? Stating that they either align to the club under an agreement drawn up by the club or they'd be receiving solicitors letters for using the clubs badge? |

The DSA were told expressly that they couldn't use the club badge - or anything resembling it - for their new badge/logo. |

The Inclusion project could have been a fantastic feather in the club's cap, a great advertisement for both WAFC and the town. Alas, they blew that one too.:( |

Didn’t the Frontline use the badge on calling cards? Would like to have seen that agreement ;) |

My WST membership card (finally) arrived this morning with an apology for the "delay in processing your card" together with some Xmas raffle tickets for me to sell as a member privilege. When I read stuff like this I feel like cutting the membership card up. |

What’s particularly irritating about it is how little the club had to do really. It was already a self functioning thing, maybe just chuck some kit their way and ensure that volunteers met a code of conduct I suppose, but otherwise it could have just run as it was. To have weighed in with an offer of total control that diminished the setup can only look like an act of hostility - but god only knows why that would be the case. |
All times are WMT (Wrexham Mean Time). For non-town viewers the time now is 22.56:49. |
