Surely if Thrame was good enough at Telford then he would have been playing?

Regardless of that, I don’t think throwing him into a team lacking confidence and fighting relegation will end up being positive for Doug or the team.

We didn’t keep Kennedy and replaced him with Chambers. And we gave an injured Manny Smith a new deal restricting us bringing in a proper centre back. Realistically Lawlor is a backup player to a Kennedy or Smith. Recruitment was dire in the summer.

Speaking to Port V ST holder and he wishes Kennedy stayed with us. He was back up to Lawlor not the other way round.

From what I saw of Kennedy here, he was a far better footballer than Lawlor.

He did well for us which helped him get his move to PV, but I dont think he was better than the form Lawlor showed last season.

Lawlor and Pearson both looked decent when they had Brad Walker mopping up in front of them. Neither have looked as good this season without the protection they had in the last season.

I think Kennedy was possibly better than the pair of them.

Any news from the club why they gave Manny a new deal?

Who knows but I would say Lawlor was solid and consistent all season not just the games Walker played and Kennedy also had the benefit of Walker in games which allowed him to carry the ball.

He was expected to recover from the injury before MRSA was contracted.

So why not wait before handing out a long term contract? And why not announce it?
