EGM attempt has been cancelled. Couldn't get the numbers. If you are one of the wst members who didn't put your name forward for this then you have chosen your side and are happy with the current board. Clubs killers are in higher numbers than I first thought.

Birdy, is there an official statement on this somewhere? Last I can see from their Twitter feed is the statement saying “The EGM will almost certainly now go ahead.” To go from that level of optimism to cancelling the attempt seems a little strange.

96% are out of step.
If those calling for the EGM had been able to accept that the call needed more detail and less anonymity the call would have been successful.
It's the arrogance of believing a small number are right and everyone else is wrong that has sunk the call for an EGM.

I have maintained my WST membership in order to influence the much needed change of how the WST does its business. With no apparent desire for change, is it worth continuing to be a member of a moribund organization that is failing to manage the club I have loved and followed over 50 years?

As my dear old mum often said, “The Road to Hell is paved with good intentions.” We must hope that the WST do not achieve what Hamilton, Gutterman et al nearly did. Sad, very sad!
