Would think Keates position is relatively secure at present as the board said that money will be made available. Unless that's for loans we won't be able to spend until January. In that respect there is little that the FC board can do apart from backing or sacking.
I dont think he can be sacked now...

Perhaps that should have been a goal for them. Hire 2.5 managers per 18 month period. RAG status on that would have been the brightest possible shade of green.

If he is sacked before the end of the season then this will be the second consecutive season we have had 3 different managers which totally highlights why we are in the plight we are in. Until this board can either get manager recruitment right themselves or allow it be done by others then our downwards spiral will continue.

Its an acknowledgement of incompetence if he is sacked now... Its like those times your parents used to tell you not to do something, you did it anyway, and next thing you know you are in A&E. We mostly said keates was a bad hirex as we did with Hughes, obviously fans dont appoint managers, but if they did.

They have this totally the wrong way around.

They have no goal.

What they have are lots of actions.

The goal has to be macro, nice and big.

What is it we are going to do.
How are we going to do it.

Actions sit in the "how", but the "how" only comes after the "what" and there don't seem to be that many definable "whats". Certainly not the big over arching one that is the vision.

Set the "what" first then set out all the actions that lead to it. Not set loads of actions you hope end up somewhere but you're not sure where.

I.e. Commercial team

What we want to do is increase revenues by £250k this season
How are we going to do it:
1. Increase season ticket sales by £xxxx
2. Deliver £20k through Xmas raffle
3. etc
4. etc

Im hoping that its all a work in progress, but you have managed to get to what i perhaps badly articulated.
