Board:

You’ve tried. No one can argue against that.
It’s going to be hard to give up this position as you will never have it again
But you must look in the mirror and ask yourself whether you need this.
Do the right thing, have an honest review of your errors and whether new blood is needed to try and turn this thing around.
Wrexham is bigger than any sense of failure or bruised ego you may endure.
You let the rot set in by abandoning and allowing poor performance and failure in the non 1st team areas, what you didn’t realise is rot spreads once it’s allowed in. Standards have to be high everywhere, everyone has to be working 100% towards the goal, not just some people.
It’s now too late, only new vision and drive can reverse the decline.

WST:

Your aims were commendable, the intentions honourable but you have forgotten the community you were intended to serve, a football club exists to support the entire community associated with the club, not a politically active few. You have failed to bring board members to account for activities that should never, ever, be tolerated. It’s time to be pragmatic, to realise the peril of the situation is far greater than the purity of the politics clung tenaciously onto by the few who still believe it’s the only way forward. Do the right thing, engage widely, look outwards not inwards for those who can help.

You can no longer sit and hope. You must act. Show some humility, some pragmatism and for gods sake show some fight and character - if you do maybe the players will.

Have been for quite a while and reconfirmed last January and today .WAFC board telling lies and backed up by a very weak WST management could only end up one way !

The main Striker not interested, signed a player who's two stone overweight and can't run, lost 2 massive games all in a week, definitely going down

When our players come out of the tunnel for the warm up grinning like Cheshire cats (Pearson, Grant to name but two), you know this bunch of duffs are only here to draw their salary and don't give a flying fig about the plight of the club on the pitch and our league position.

If they played football as well as they talked about "turning it around" we'd be at the Club World Cup in Qatar!

Darlington should be filling shelves in Tesco, even he would over complicate that simple task. Keates coming back was always going to end in tears one way or the other

The rot set in many years ago.

I think the least that needs to happen is Davies, Darlo must leave , Pearson as player coach for now next to Keates. Playing with a midfielder up top as a target man must stop immediately and if Darlo leaves I think this would happen anyway. The board members who have made all the footballing decisions in the past should be relieved of the duty. Bring football knowledge in on an ad hoc basis when decisions are needed.Keates only staying in his position because who the hell else would want to come into this shit storm!

And to think Askey was available when we were looking for a manager last year.

Biggest cock up since somebody said "sod Darren Ferguson, let's give it to Carey"

The worst thing about our predicament is it was all the clubs making and all blindingly obvious where it would end.

I think Pearson on the coaching staff is the last thing we need based on how he has downed tools this season

We should have appointed Flynn instead of bringing back Keates and Davies....he was interested and would have kept us up in the first instance and would have then been able to mentor a younger successor in say 18 months time.....but our Board didn't want him because his appointment would have weakened their ability to retain power over football matters as Flynn demanded full and exclusive control!

Excellent post, BV.

Sums up my view more elegantly than I can muster. We all love our club. Let's not contribute to its demise. Instead, we all need to rally behind something we can have faith in, regardless whether we stay up or go down. Sadly, the WST has lost the initiative and must allow an orderly take-over so we at least go down fighting.
