Hate the way our Club's decline has encouraged some to deride fellow fans. I have known Quay Red for over 40 years. He is a great bloke and massive , loyal , Red . Give the man a break!

Like me Quay Red was on the away terrace today. It's not fair to say he is hiding.

Is anyone prepared to guess at what the value of Wrexham AFC may be at this moment?

I mean, what would a wealthy individual have to fork out to bring Wrexham back into the land of clarity and honesty???

There are interested parties out there, we still (just about) can be choosy who we jump into bed with, and not too unrealistic for fans to hold onto a “safeguarding” share & a seat on the board. Soon if no action is taken, it will be too late and we will have to act in desperation.
If Wycombe, Exeter & Wimbledon have all realised this while in better positions than us, how the hell do we expect to still succeed in our fast deteriorating circumstances?
8 years in... playing staff worst we’ve ever recruited, poor standard of coaching, poor training facilities/training. Inadequate commerce (due to over rated manager). Everything cut to the bone, most staff now part time. Clubs reputation in the game at its lowest ebb ever. Nearly run out of money with no forward ideas. Never at any point a defined strategy/business plan to succeed.
Can anyone please tell me, after the initial purchase of the club, what has been achieved by the trust?
Good post and some forward thinking

They would need to pay zero for it.

The question is how much would they put in annually.

Some very valid points made here. However, who would take over? Would anyone be interested in a team bottom and in this situation?

I still believe in Fans' Ownership but am hugely disappointed that the democracy suggested by that title is virtually meaningless. WST Members' resolutions are ignored when deemed inconvenient by the elite ( DSA second platform ) and there remains NO way that WFC board members can be removed by those 3000 or so who , apparently , "own " our Club.
Never , in 65 years of supporting Wrexhan AFC , could I ever have expected the nightmare of possibly dropping into the second tier of Non-League football Call me daft but I don't want to encourage chancers / crooks like Hamilton , Booth, Cleeve , Vaughan etc .... and would much prefer to see an invitation extended to Wrexham supporting Business/ Professional / Outstanding Individuals to join the WAFC board .
Appreciate your predicament but we cannot continue as we are.

The club could and should have prospered under a fans-ownership model, but a combination of the model chosen, poor decision making and lack of supervision has placed our club’s future in jeopardy. Anger is rife amongst many fans, which has overflowed into personal attacks instead of focusing on the many issues. However, the WST’s inability or unwillingness to acknowledge their errors and correct them has left those individuals open to further criticisms.

I don’t for one minute believe they planned to get us into this predicament, rather they have gone down the wrong avenue and not had the wisdom or wherewithal to admit their mistakes and correct them.

I now have no faith in Keates or the WST to save our club from a truly awful fate if we are relegated. That can be avoided if the right steps are taken soon. That requires certain individuals to announce their resignations but, most importantly, be mature enough to facilitate a handover of power and responsibility to a new group of folk who can organise a planned sale of the club to a consortium of trusted, new owners. If that consortium does not exist, then it is beholden on the current WST and club Boards to seek new individuals to replace themselves, and function under the auspices of a revised WST.

Individuals are important but, at this critical hour, the survival of the club is paramount. That necessitates us not being relegated. Once that hurdle has been cleared we can concentrate on rebuilding for next season. However, if we fall then the economic consequences will be fatal. We have already wasted the first half of this season; let’s not waste the second half.

PS I agree with your concerns about the criticisms aimed at QR by some posters on here. He is as concerned about the club’s future as anyone on here, but recognises change can best come through evolution rather than revolution.

Whilst I agree with most of your Sentiments Dave the Current
Board simply have to stand down. If they had shown the least bit of humility maybe they could stay, however the level of disdain they have treated the Fans with and, also the DSA and various Supporters Associations and even Sponsors loads of who have told me that after they were treated poorly by them they wouldn't Sponsor games again means their position is untenable. In fact even though I think these people are true Fans I think they Border on Arrogant thinking no-one could do the job better than them. They have made the club a Laughing stock with their lunatic decisions with regards to appointments and their inability to listen in any way at all to what the fans want. THEY HAVE TO GO

I bet plenty of people have shown interest but the mentality of those at the top, and a number of fans who back them no matter what, is that we'd be better off in the conference north than under private ownership. We're never, ever selling up while this lot are at the top table and with the EGM falling flat on its arse, I don't think we'll ever see change. Still, I'll do whatever's required to try and get them out of our club and to get the club in the hands of a private owner.
