The Danny Ward money being payed in full, we've been sitting on it since he transferred. It hasn't all suddenly been payed because we're up sh*t creek, as some sort of coincidence. Even John Mills down the pub couldn't keep up with the lie, told two different stories one after the other, whoops. One being it was payed in full before quickly saying the installments were all payed up in October (?).

This has come from a 1st class source. Liverpools accounts will be published in February - usually - and due to them having shareholders via FSG 5hose accounts will contain much info including fees received for players and payed out.

Even the deal is structured odd as it would normally be payed over the length of his contract, not over 18 months or so, spread out to lessen Leicesters tax bill over a number of years. Businesses don't get taxed on money they don't have in their account. Even Prem clubs rarely pay the full fee up front, not even the richest clubs on the planet.

Also, how is it we've got those close to board members saying funds are available to strengthen in January when attendances are falling off a cliff? We must be around or below break even now.
It never made sense from day one

In fairness, I believe that was because they didn’t want to hand over the saved cash to the Moss regime. It was well know the Trust had a fund that Moss was desperate to get his hands on. Offered a seat on the board for the 400k the trust had etc. That would have just been pissed up the wall/spent on the flats.

The Trust has messed up, but not everything they have done has been terrible. The finance guy for the Trust always comes across as the smartest bloke on the team, especially at the meetings I attended during and the year or two after the takeover.

I'll also add one friend of the board claimed we had either £750k or £1 million sat in the bank when people were questioning how the new training would be funded. That poster claimed Pete Jones told them at some supporter meeting.

A mate of Pete's quickly jumped in saying that wasn't the case and came up with some bullsh*t that evades me right now. That same poster is claiming we have £1 million sat in the bank today, they lie until they tie themselves up in knots.

Where's that money come from?

Im not doubting for a minute he isn’t the smartest bloke and to be fair our finances are healthy, but that’s almost irrelevant when we’re sitting at the bottom the league isn’t it.

I was led to believe it was impossible to access the money at the time, and like you said even it was, it was seen as ‘handing over cash to the mosss regime’. This showed how dangerous the current regime were, because it wasn’t a case of handing money over to the moss regime, it was paying a bond to ensure the football clubs future, this demonstrated early on the political nonsensical bullshit some of the wst loonies play.

There was quite rightly resistance to stop the previous owner getting the WST money but I believe those on this thread are referring to the bond required by the league which the then owners were unwilling to provide. - Placing the club in jeopardy

That all important bond was provided by fans (organised outside of the WST and by just a handful of well organised individuals.) I might be challenged on this but it wasn't the WST boards finest hour.

I constantly hear from friends of the board that we're sitting on a load of cash, which isn't a good thing as it is. We should be investing the cash that we have, not keeping it in the bank.

Thanks for the response.

To be precise we have GBP 1,031,274 since at least the 1st of June, how much remains I don't know.

Anyone any ideas on who the mystery benefactor is? Been saving this up for a very long while.

Not quite. That figure is the number of shares held in the company at a nominal value of £1 it has no relation to the bank balance. It looks like the WST injected £100k in on the 1st June
