Did you or anyone else honestly believe he would go, or Keates, or the board itself for that matter? We’re stuck with these incompetent fools until something very drastic happens...

They're not resigning, and they've only released this statement because a protest is happening on Saturday.

If anything, this will cause more aggro in the stands as those backing the board will start to hate the stick they're getting even more. I can see fists flying.

It's not the worst statement I've read actually but it's not going to get many/any people on here off their backs.

January may be too late but at least they understand the seriousness of what is happening and we cant help the restriction that applies to us alone.

God knows what they were playing at giving Hughes that budget and I dread to think what we are paying the dross he brought in.

The Wrexham Supporters Trust, Football Club Board, Manager and Players of Wrexham AFC want to apologise to you regarding the position we currently occupy in the National League.

Despite upping the playing budget going into the season by over 20% versus the prior season, it hasn’t worked and the club currently sits in its lowest ever league position.

As lifelong fans of the club ourselves who follow the team up and down the country, we fully understand the frustration, embarrassment and upset this is causing everyone and that we need to urgently address the situation.

The Board and Dean Keates met today and talked through the steps necessary to turn this situation around and discussed the investment needed in further additions to the squad we will need to make in January.

We have to wait until January, because as a Welsh Club playing in the English National League we are bound by the international transfer window (this does not apply to the England based National League clubs), and these rules mean we cannot make any permanent signings until the transfer window is open in January. As a matter of urgency, we plan to bring in loan additions who can help us in the short term.

We fully understand the anger from fans and respect the right to make feelings known. Given the current circumstances, your club and team need you more than ever on a matchday to give us the best chance of pulling clear of this situation and that’s something everyone connected to Wrexham Football Club wants and something we all can rally around.

Ultimately, we understand that we are accountable for everything that happens at the football club, the good along with the bad but would urge everyone to pull together in the same direction until this situation is addressed.

Your fantastic support is always appreciated.
Ha ha my god they really are fliping clueless! At what point does a new club get starred ? Thank Kellogg’s and Pete.

That's on the players, would expect Hughes pay off to be peanuts unless they're even more stupid than I give them credit for

I must have missed something. Whats changed exactly?

Nothing changes if nothing changes.

Keates still here. Board still here. Pep Darlington still here. Shambles.

And to top it all off the club is going to give Keates a wad of cash in order to save his managerial career and save the club from relegation. This in spite of over spending already by giving more money to the last manager who like Keates should never have been given the job in the first place.
Its jaw dropping stuff, it really is.

Keates, Davies and Darlington need to be sacked and the club board need to fook off tomorrow morning, then we might have a chance. Otherwise, we’re done for.

It’s going to kick off Saturday.
