Bloody well hope not.
Chambers is more suited to a back 3 (natural left sided) and whilst here, why not use him as cover. Let young Doug get some experience and tested before a big decision on his future.

Chambers is not good enough to play national league football though.

I reckon he would be better in a 3 and currently he is only cover so I'm sure he is more than adequate in an otherwise very experienced back 5. Remember after his first few games some on RP were calling for him to be preferred to Lawlor, but like Bencherif he can look the part but always has a loss of concentration in his make up.

Bensherrif and Nortei are the only players I’ve been angered by in a friendly. (Gresford a few years ago). He never ever “looked the part”.

Yet people were raving about Bencherif early season on here, until he got found out. Similarly all the moaning about Kevin Roberts, but he was solid, knew how to defend, could read the game and despite being on the decline last season has been sadly missed this season.

Other than the one obvious exception what has our youth set up delivered to the first team? (I know he never played!).

Doug Tharme looked like he might be good enough, that said he couldn’t get a game at Telford a league below, hardly ripping up trees and demanding a shirt

Who exactly was raving about Bencherif??

Where is Roberts playing now out of interest?
Roberts was dreadful last season and only has himself to blame for being released. You do realise its not anyone on here who released him, right?

My memory maybe fading but I'm sure there was alot of praise on here early season for Bencherif. Our points record when Roberts started spoke for itself, but I too thought this season was time to upgrade with a more attacking right back, but in hindsight it went badly wrong. From what I have heard Robert's is doing well at Chester and would have tighten our leaky back line in games we should have got points.

All this is besides the point that in our current situation the best thing all round is for Tharme to go out on loan and get games.

He is better off out of this basket case of a club.
Yep.

He needs to get away from here, as does any other promising youth player.
