Strangest Wrexham Recognition
I was walking through Famagusta (disputed Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus) on Monday in the old Vandanel Red, White and Green shirt we had. One of the shop keepers shouted out Wrexham! I was quite surprised by it, I guess we aren’t old news just yet. Anyone else had similar? |

Re: Strangest Wrexham Recognition
Sat outside a restaurant in Stockholm old town. Wearing the early 80's blue adidas away shirt and one of the waitresses comes over and asks if that's a Wrexham shirt. Turned out she was from Ruthin working in Stockholm for a year.

Re: Strangest Wrexham Recognition
A couple of years ago I was in Spain with my Wrexham towel on a lounger. Some Geordie woman asked who’s it, turns out she was Peter Ward’s sister.
On the same holiday I was on the plane home in my Wrexham shirt, when the air hostess asks me about the shirt. Turns out she was an ex of Phil Hardy. |

Re: Strangest Wrexham Recognition
I was in Disney in EPCOT a few years back and one of the 'seniors' who act as guides there asked "Say, is that a Wrexham shirt?" "Why yes it is" turned out he was a retired New Yorker who used to work for NY Cosmos and knew Brian Tinnion.

Re: Strangest Wrexham Recognition
Having lived in Sydney for 49 years, I have many examples of meeting Wrexham supporters in the strangest of places.
Also spoken with Albert Kinsey and Ian Rush. Actually did an article with Albert for the Wrexham program a few years back and I never knew he lived only a few KM's away.
