For me it’s keep the ownership but change the management. |

If a private owner had taken the number of poor decisions our current board have done, and as a result saw gates drop as they have and revenue streams dry up, his concern would be heightened by the fact he was damaging his own investment thereby increasing his motivation to make corrections and sort the matter out. That's the key difference. The current board are not managing their own investment, and that shows in the condescending and arrogant manner in which they seem unwilling or unable to recognise and accept mistakes |

Re: Brilliant summary of the Board's failings.
quite accurate techender, it seems the only thing that can affect the current boards or whatever is embarrassment of failing or at least to be seen as failing, perhaps that is why they will not relent control, many think it is ego perhaps it is a bit of everything, in the meantime our football club fails, something must happen, my preference is private ownership with a fans presence on a board headed by a proven businessperson, il probably be shot for that but thats just my opinion, i honestly think the fan owned model has failed and will again with new directors who are from the general fan base with no business experience, let us hope something can change quickly

Interesting points made re better management if someone is protecting their own investment. I’m not so sure that would be the case in practice, mistakes will still be made, although I take the point if you have skin in the game the stakes will be higher on your decisions, though also conversely you just end up adding another area of risk there of decisions being made to protect the investment and not for the long term good of the football club. Just my views. At least we all agree the management should change |
