Default 2019 - A year in review

As we head into the end of 2019 we must review the most baffling, contentious and damaging year we've just had.

On the 31st Decemeber 2018 we were 2nd, a point behind Orient with a game in hand and as soon as we entered 2019 we lost 5 games in a row without scoring a goal. Fast forward to the end of the year and we have a massively divided fanbase, 5 different managers in a year, just hit our lowest position in our 155 year history and have no answers to some of the baffling questions that have been put forward.

If we were to collectively submit a list of question for the board to answer in full what would you ask? We could have the questions signed by a significant number of fans looking for explanations. The answers would be challenged and pressed upon in follow up communications. Protests clearly aren't wanted by the club, the club seems to have communication issues so lets give them the oportunity to answer fans ill feelings. Ideally some journalists would press them and assist with this but if not we as owners must ask these questions.

If we do not learn from our mistakes, if we do not review our season and challenge decisions and if we do not start planning and correcting problems now we have a bleak future ahead. Our current position, the current state of the club and the mass divide between fans is not down to bad luck.

I'm happy to lead this, so please submit your questions below. They can be sent in anonymously too, just send me a PM. The answers to these questions will also try to be fact checked as much as possible. Feel free to be as open and direct as you like in your concerns. Obviously not all questions can be asked and other peoples opinions will be saught to assess which questions are best to ask.

What do you want to ask?

Unfortunately this board are very skilled at avoiding the big questions. Or, as seen at many of the recent Meet The Manager/Q&A events, giving insufficient answers and then swiftly moving on without allowing anyone to follow them up.

Spencer is hiding behind WST membership when the majority of fans aren’t members. Many, including myself, were members and have cancelled our subscriptions.

An open platform for Wrexham fans not just WST members is required, let’s see him squirm with the real opinions and pressing questions.

After all, he’s on the club board to serve the fans. He should answer to all not just the WST. Come on Spencer, let’s see you prove that we are a real fan driven community club.

To be honest I think finishing 11th in the Birmingham and District league in 1908/09 was worse.
But at least we won the Welsh Cup that year 😊

I get that all fans are allowed opinions and there are issues rightly questioned. However the system is simple the WST owns the club if your not a member then unfortunately you have no influence. Membership may not be everyone’s preferred option but at least it gives you a vote....something you wouldn’t get from private ownership.
Right or wrong, good or bad everyone has a voice at £12 a year.. if you want change or believe in the process...Have influence

Unfortunately, after the second platform motion fiasco, some of us no longer believe in the process.

I think the old Birmingham league had the status of what is now Div2 or the old 4th Div.
