Default Boxing Day!

If we lose next Saturday could the game against Chorley be our lowest attended for this bank holiday ever?

I’ve bought 4 tickets for the MRS today and there weren’t that many available in the middle section town end.

If we win, that would be 3 league wins on the bounce. Could be a quite good crowd

Not a chance even if we get beat at Sutton we will have at least 3500 on Boxing day, with checking just one Boxing day fixture from the 80s I came across Boxing day 1985 a crowd of 2217 was at the racecourse to watch Preston a game I would have attended, without checking old programmes the chances are Preston would have brought 800 fans at least.

Yup.

There's plenty of blokes who'll want to get out of the house.

A strange implicit wish for Xmas. How odd?

Boxing day means tradition - people home for the holiday who normally wouldn't go - many men getting out of the house to avoid the family witch (mother in law) - it's the one fixture where fans will turn out in significant numbers.
Being a 6 pointer will also have a certain appeal.
How many will Chorley bring ? it's only up the road and a ground they haven't visited before - their turn out could be interesting.

I'll be there on boxing day - always have done always will - however wont be hanging around to watch Looka pulling out repeat winners from the top inch of tickets in the WST raffle again - had enough of that farce.

Doubt it. Think there will be around 4000 regardless. Tradition and that.

What difference 12 months makes !! (or rather this board have made)

Wrexham 5 Salford City 1 Att 8,200

Three managers later and hundreds of thousands of £££ wasted...….what a missed opportunity
