As with politics, middle of the road is best and I am hearing very strong rumours of one coming our way. No names though 'lest it all gets messed up.

Deverdics came here with a good reputation from Dover and & Hartlepool . many at the time (id say majority) was happy with him signing.. the fact he was again pants whilst here... wasnt the managers fault if he didnt perform (at all)

As for Ainge... he scored a crapload for Harrogate once changed position from Defender to Striker for them.. and he came to us with us hoping he continued that .. again he didnt fulfill what we hoped and he didnt emulate at all what he done at Harrogate .. and hasn't done so anywhere since he left.. so again not the managers fault.. as he signed potential... but they didnt deliver
Ainge came to us totally unfit having been crocked previously.

Another modern classic from yourself.

Defending Deverdics and Ainge, dear me.

Was told last April when we lost at Hartlepool that every player looked at the floor in the dressing room and not one player spoke up even Pearson, then Hughes said we go again next week, pretty pathetic I think.

Sounds about right. They were crying to the Leader that they needed a “leader” when we were managerless. Bunch of grown men including plenty of experienced professionals.

In fairness, there were some people - even FOG! - who were describing Deverdics as a ‘class player’ before we signed him.

Our coaching set up is not picky of who it drains the footballer out of.

They wanted the Dover player, yet it was clear he was nothing like that for the monkey-hangers.
