Pretty sure Mills did when he got the job. There may have been one or with reservations but I'd say 99% were firmly behind that appointment and look what happened there. So it doesn't really matter. I see this as a dig at fans who aren't backing Keates and that's a desperate and foolish path to take. Your crusade to defend anything and everything is doing you no favours at all.

Bringing back Keates was just plain stupid and was never going to work. Most fans could see that because it was so obvious.

Its not a case of we can't keep changing managers, its a case of we can't keep appointing the wrong managers - and unfortunately Keates falls into that category.

He had no track record to justify his appointment; and our experience to date further backs that up. Plus he wasn't wanted by the majority of the fan base who made their feelings well known.

This was another self inflicted disaster by a disastrous board of directors who are destroying the club.

I'm not after any favours, but just expressing my opinion. I probably wouldn't have appointed Keates this time, round, but he has been and to change again in my opinion would be suicidal and all I care about currently is staying up.

We all are now paranoid about staying up. What we disagree on, is who bites the dust in the process.

There is no evidence to say that it will be suicidal. There is plenty of evidence to support that if we keep on as we are we'll go down. Keates has been here for 3 months, players are putting in less effort, performing worse and we're no better in the league than when he took over and will probably end up worse off when Fylde play their games in hand.

The players clearly aren't playing for him, Keates himself is acting like a dead man walking by floundering in the press and standing their motionless on the touchline, the fans aren't behind him one bit. To survive it needs one big collective effort from everyone and there are deep divides between every possible section of the club.

Get Keates, Darlington & Davies out, raise the head of the players and fans, and get the board to announce resignations (either now or that they'll be resigning in the summer) or that they won't be standing for re-election and watch the place get a buzz back about it. Carrying on as we will kill us.

They brought back someone whos managerial record is awful, that stops teams from scoring goals and has an awful record for signings.

There was never, and there will never be, the full support of the fanbase behind Dean Keates. He'd be lucky to even get half of the fans supporting him.

Your idea is right in prinicple, however this is yet another wrong appointment with the wrong coach and the wrong assistant. If we'd have started fresh and cleared out Darlington and brought in a new management team we'd all be much more united, the Racecourse wouldn't be a library and I'd bet a lot of money we'd be higher up in the league with a half decent manager
Unfortunately, the people replacing Keates would be the same people that employed him and Hughes, and Barrow. Sack DK but would you trust them to get it right this time ?

You would imagine their positions would be untenable after this Keates farce ends

Consult Barry Horne, apologise to him for not taking on his advice to not hire Gary Mills, and ask him to select the next manager
