Write Chorley off at your peril - If they can get a draw away at Barrow there's no reason they won't believe they can do that or better today against Wrexham. The guy Wrexham need to worry about (apart from ex-Wrexham players) is Alex Newby;- stopping him is the key to stopping Chorley.

In the post-Xmas match 40 years ago, we won 2-0 against another club whose name starts with Ch - Chelsea! A good omen?

We’ll win today and be full of optimism, then lose our next two and normal service will be resumed.

Nor me. I'm more excited about Prestatyn v Rhyl on Saturday then I am today, hence why I won't be bothering.

Was coming with three others, more out of tradition than anticipation... two dropped out already and the third is wavering. I’m now borderline myself... which was unthinkable in previous years.
I do hope that the growing apathy is noted by our glorious leaders.

We all know that Chorley are more than capable of winning here. However we also know that if we are to survive, we need to put teams like this to the sword.

Chorley's last 3 away league games.

A 2 - 3 win at Chesterfield.

A 2 - 2 draw at Barrow

A 4 - 2 defeat at Stockport County.

Common theme ? perhaps they are scoring 2 goals a game minimum as they also did in the Trophy over 2 games v Matlock Town.

Playing in yellow shirts / grey shorts & socks today.

Got to go and see our performance first hand - should be an interesting contest between two teams desperate for points - my guess is 250 away fans and a home victory.
