Default Re: Points to stay up?

We still have to play 7 of the current top 12 teams away from home, including the current top 5 teams. The other 2 away games are against Chorley and Chesterfield. With our appalling away record of only 6 points from 42 it doesn’t look as if we will get many more. Therefore, we have to continue to get good results at home to have a good chance of staying up.

The Bury Phoenix club has applied to enter at tier 9 or 10 (North West Counties) for next season, therefore a good possibility that only 3 will be relegated from our league, which may or may not help us.

Still 54 points to play for, so long way to go yet

Bury will probably overtake us again in the future.

The sad situation is that if we won all 18 games remaining we would still end up with less points than we finished with last season- 83 vs 84.

How most of the same team as last season can fail so dramatically is unbelievable, but sadly true

Just shows how a good man manager (Ricketts) can get the best out of a player as opposed to a really poor man manager (Keates, Hughes) can make a player regress.

The management of players is vastly underestimated especially at this level.

Keates should never have come back but he's got 2 games for me.Less than 3 points from the next 2 games and he's gone but the board should follow as they'll just bring in another clown to finish the job of taking us down

According to the Harris interview on the radio a few weeks back the reason why we’re struggling is injuries, bad luck and the team not gelling... things money can’t buy. He said some signings haven’t worked out which obviously can be replaced, I do wonder of their footballing frame of mind at times though.

I don’t think it’ll be as big a shape up as we need. I can think of 7/8 that need to be replaced.

It’s a good shout but does he know Carl Darlington and can he get free Wales tickets for Jones the bus and Spencer?
