Just got home and feel sorry for those who are on the bus at the bottom end of the M40 with hours left until they're home. My first game since Woking and in spite of recent results I really think we have gone backwards and are in serious trouble.

First time I have seen Redmond and although he made a few decent passes he struggled to keep the ball when it was given to him. Young was the only midfielder to really put in a shift and we really need to recruit at least one player who can get a grip and link defence and attack. Hooper showed a few glimpses first half but rarely had the ball played in to feet, the victim of Keates/Darlington's hoofball tactics.

The worst thing of all was their second goal, a gift from Lainton who scuffed a kick a few inches off the ground almost straight to a Maidenhead player who took his chance well.

We never looked like scoring but I think this was as much down to our tactics as the players. Why play one up front against one of the worst defences in the league? As an earlier poster said the next two games could determine our future. The only good thing to happen today is that no-one else in the bottom six won.

It's easy as an armchair fan to try and find positives and imagine it isnt that bad but on a rare live viewing I can say that was complete dog shit. I am fast losing patience with Keates and have long since run out if excuses for the bunch of amateurs on and off the pitch.
