Talk of Chesterfield having to liquidate and starting again if they are relegated, some wag on their forum suggesting the fans trust sell a special phoenix beer if this happens.

Looks like at least one of us will go down unless the numbers of clubs relegated are reduced.

Relegation and we'll be able to add ourselves to that list too.

Only upside of that will be Wrexham fans not being able to say "at least we're not Bury or Macclesfield" as if we're supposed to be grateful that we're languishing around the relegation zone of the National League.

I have to disagree.
It is the structure, the divisive model that is the foundation that determines the destiny of our club that is totally wrong.
Fans owned sounds very romantic but we have the WST and a board of directors that spend most of their time blaming one another, a constitution that disencourages investment and a general apathy that does nothing to suggest ambition.
With such disarray off the pitch it is hardly a surprise that there is no passion or leadership on it.
Unfortunately I cannot see how our club can survive without a massive overhaul of the amateur structure we have as a business platform.
Whatever the solution may be it will require the petty squabbling between fans, WST and board to cease and for common sense to prevail.
