Pearson isn't a scapegoat as he isn't being blamed for others wrongdoings. He is being criticised for his own piss poor performances and leadership. He's the captain of the team and shoulders more responsibility than any other squad player. He's been poor throughout the season and he shows no signs of frustration, anger, passion or desire to improve. He is rightly getting the finger pointed at him just as it is right to point the finger at every player in the squad.

No we as fans should not shoulder any blame. We were there at the start of the season backing them massively which can easily be seen at Notts County away, we were rewarded with an awful performance and no effort. Wrexham fans support the team up and down the country and get rewarded with 1 win in 10 from a manager than spat in the fans faces. Wrexham fans still show up. They get rewarded with 6 points from a possible 45 from our last 15 away games. Wrexham fans still show up. They get rewarded with 4 wins out of 29 away games in 2019. Wrexham fans still show up.

Wrexham have had an awful year. At this time last year we were confident of our chances of winning the league having just smashed Salford 5-1 and beaten Solihull 1-0. Now the majority of fans aren't confident of finishing 20th. That has come as a result of some baffling, ridiculous and as of yet unexplained decisions by the board who refuse to communicate with the fans and owners of the club.

I think that given the year we've had our fans deserve credit and to assign the blame for our failings is ridiculous.

We could have started fresh and brought everyone together when Hughes left and tried to push on but we took back Dean Keates. Which lead to the fanbase being even more divided. Which lead to boycotts from some of the most loyal fans Wrexham has. Which lead to an even worse league position.

With Hooper it probably doesn't help that Keates is having digs at him in his interviews stating he's fit but won't play.

It also doesn't help fans relationships with players when Bobby Grant is goading the people who pay his wages and telling them to flip off on more than one occasion without a hint of being repremanded by the club.

So to answer your question, no. The fans are not holding the team back. If that were the case our away form would be better than our home form. If that were the case our form would have improved as more and more fans boycott or lose interest. If that were the case we'd have beaten Fylde when only 2800 showed up.

To blame the fans and overlook the dire performances of the board, management and players in not only rose tinted but its picking the thorns off the rose and sticking them in your eyes.

Here's to a better 2020, without a snake in charge, with better leadership of the club, with more openess, players deserving of wearing the shirt and a fan base that is together again

Happy New Year
Absoutley Brilliant summing up

Should we the fans shoulder any blame? Or are we faultless? We turn up in numbers fair play but that’s just relative.

The expectation must weigh heavy on the field. I can sense it when things just slip for 5 minutes. Sections of the crowd are on their backs. Even a misplaced pass after that gets hammered. Judging players by what they get fed on sky sports news and Fifa. Heard that too. Hooper got some stick for being down hurt v Chorley, bet he appreciated that after scoring 2 and all that went on before that.

The board, players or management can’t say this. They would get fired.

Are some of us holding the team back?

I think he supports the reds. It's the grip the WST has on the club he doesn't support

I'm afraid, he's not on his own.

To quote John McEnroe - you cannot be serious?

The supporters are not to blame for the position we are in - only the board(s), the manager and the players.

Full stop.

The team are shite, that's nothing to do with the fans
If it wasn't for the fans, we most probably wouldn't have a team to watch now !!!
We the fans are asked every season to dig deep into our pockets, to build the budget etc.. And look how we're re payed, with a worse squad each season.
I think under the circumstances we've been quite patient

Any normally run club Grant would be on the transfer list.
He crossed the line.
If fans mention it we are being negative?
