I dont think the club were having a dig at him, they were merely revealing he had taken the option of a further 12 months after his initial deal until the end of the season. It was obviously a deal offered to get him to drop down to the NL with option of staying or looking elsewhere. The club may have wanted him to sign for 18 months but he wouldn't commit at the time. This is all regardless to how people rated him this summer but I thought everyone wanted more transparency

He will be one of the higher earners no doubt but not earning more than twice the amount of anyone else.

Yes i did say he was going to be our best player and he was our best player early in the season pre-Keates but he is another square peg in a round hole, out of position he aint a striker and his form has been poor of late.

But why attack him for giving a young fan a shirt at Xmas you miserable sod.
