Default Chorley ratings

Lainton 6- Kicking was poor in the first half, excellent save in the second.
Carrington 5- Standard.
Kennedy 5- Bit more composure needed.
Lawlor 4- No surprise he was dropped to start with. The weak link of the defence.
Jennings 4- So frustrating. Hoof the ball up the line. Repeat.
Rutherford 5- Some neat touches in the first half, nearly set up a goal.
Redmond 4- I know I know, he scored. Game passed him by. Anonymous.
Young 6- Our best player.
Grant 4- Did nothing
Hooper 6- Some glimpses of what he can do.
Patrick 8- An 8 for the goal alone. Top class.

Jennings was absolutely terrible today, a new left back is as important as getting a new midfielder and striker.

Young who you say was our best player gets a 6 but Patrick gets an 8? Doesn't that make him our best player? I would have given him our man of the match as he also set up the 1st and was a constant nuisance. Young was the best of the midfield

Harsh on Lawlor

The three at the back did well - it’s at least a 5 from me, and with the clean sheet it’s a 6

Rutherford - typical game, other than creating one chance.

Midfield - lack height , Young needs someone with some physicality alongside him.

Second goal pure class, first one , well how did that sneak in. Great save from Lainton to keep it at nil nil

Happy with the result as that is what counts given the league table.
But we have to improve

Wasn’t clear on that, our best player overall I mean

Dont think anyone stood out at all . Chorley are by far the worst team l have seen this
season , but glad of the 3 points . Does Bobby Grant have a clause in his contract that if he
is fit he has to play ?
