...and equally if we win... such is the division that’s sadly been created.

True it's Wrexhams version of Brexit a never healing wound.

Final thought before setting off for today's match.

Rochdale are just about to kick off in their home FA Cup tie v Newcastle United with 8,000 shoe horned into Spotland - if only Akil Wright had not in the post and scored in the 88th minute of the first game - we wouldn't even be playing Aldershot today - how one goal can influence the movement and habits of thousands of people.

That’s life innit. Every left or right turn changes your destiny and that of many others.

We are where we are, this season, and I maintain that whilst yes the league table isn’t healthy, there really isn’t a great deal of difference in quality between say fourth top v fourth bottom of the league this season.

There’s no Fleetwood or FGR or Tranmere or Salford, the league is wide open, and those small percentages you talk about Red Light are the reason we are where we are instead of in the play offs zone.

We aren’t that far away from competing at the right end of the table, we just need that bit more quality and consistency each game. Especially away from home.

Most of the players on the pitch today can get us back where we want to be, just a couple of key signings would galvanise the squad and make that turnkey difference.

Small steps though, let’s get the job done today. Three points.

COYR.

2-1 Reds with a nervy last 10 mins. As much as I value what Captain Fantastic Pearson has done over the years I do think he’s lost a yard or two and has only been in the team on his reputation of late. Wasn’t missed at Chorley and may be off in the window. Would welcome a new signing or three particularly in central and left midfield plus a third Striker adding to Patrick’s loan being extended until end of the season. COYR!
Still has 18 months on his contract. What grounds do you have for thinking he might be off, or is this wishful thinking on your part ?

Agreed. But three points today would be another big boost and feel strangely more important than a cup run? COYRs
