Patrick put in a decent amount of effort but, like Hooper, was let down by poor distribution today.

I'd dock wages from Grant, Redmond and Jennings and send Reid back for the levels of effort they put in today, and my 2nd favourite bit of the game (behind their unreal sitter) was the cheers for Grant's substitution. Outstanding work.

Lainton - 7
Reid - 0
Lawlor - 2
Kennedy - 4
Carrington - 5
Jennings - 0
Young - 7
Redmond - 0
Grant - 0
Patrick - 5
Hooper - 5
I thought the ironic cheers when Hooper jumped and won a header in the 89th minute were quite amusing. 5 for me is a par score and Hooper was not a par player yesterday for me.

Lainton 8 kept us in it several times

Reid 3 port
Kennedy 5 out of his depth worryingly
Lawlor 7 thought he did well
Carrington 7 like lawlor
Jennings 3 poor

Young 8 motm deserves better
Redmond 0 same as Leighton/hambers/McIntosh no good enough for this level
Grant 3. Terrible. That moment in the first half where the defender got a bit of his head on a log ball to grant then beat grant to the loose ball summed him up

Patrick 4 ineffectual but little to work with
Hooper 4 like Patrick

Subs
Whatever

The worst performance I have ever seen from a Wrexham side
Up Lainton to an 8 - down Lawlor and Kennedy to 4 and this does it for me. Except the management team would get a minus mark.

Hooper needs to show some desire and effort. Half hearted attempts to win the ball, half hearted runs to close people down. He will score goals with the right supply but he needs to do more on the pitch, we cant afford to carry players.

Lainton 8 .....for his performance and desire. Clearly frustrated by several of those playing in front of him.
Jennings 3...not his greatest day. The moment he was walking with the ball when we are 2-0 down kinda summed up the performance / feeling.
Reid 2... Too many loose balls and seemed to lack desire
Lawler 6... In fairness thought he had a half decent game. Some good interceptions/passes but no leadership qualities required in middle of defence.
Kennedy 5..... did at least appear to make runs forward but too many errors.
Carrington.....7 Cool under pressure and by far the best defender yesterday. Still too may hopeful balls out of defence when simple balls to feet an option.
Redmond 3....nothing worked for him today.
Young 8.5 .....MoM for me. Stood out for the whole 90 mins . Clearly wanted the ball but options limited as others not really showing for him.
Grant 2...Not good
Patrick 5..... too often having to come deep to get into game. Could see he was trying but nothing came off.
JJ 4..... Extra mark for goal but seemd to sulk his way through the game. Understandable or lack of maturity??

Harris 5......

Management..... not their finest hour for whatever reason.

Would give similar scores to that.

We do not play as a team, unlike Aldershot, who were up for it and wanted that win.

Jennings is a complete liability. It demonstrates Keates' lack of management to play him, let alone appoint him captain.

The 3 players who earned their salary were Lainton, Carrington and Young.

The 2 forwards were isolated and living on scraps. Our midfield is non-existent, and we have no wing-backs to make this 3-5-2 work.

Default Re: Aldershot Ratings

Lainton 7 he kept the score down from being more like 6 or 7 no chance with the goals if his Kicking was better it would be 8

Reid 2 a Keates signing overweight, lazy disinterested and not a footballer.

Jennings 3 Not a Captain and past his best needs replacing.

Lawlor 7 cleared everything with his head first half he was solid as a rock tired second half carrying the defence.

Kennedy 5 looked disinterested.

Carrington 6 one of a few who tried why has he lost his deputy captaincy?

Young 8 MOM felt for him only him and Lainton were fired up

Redmond 2 weak as p**s

Grant 2 looks disinterested and frustrated playing under a piss poor manager.

Hooper 5 an extra point for the goal, lazy cannot jump to head a ball should be playing off a big centre forward who is good in the air he is more of a goal hanger.

Patrick 5 terrible first half opposition have clocked onto him by marking him well, better second half and at least tried.

Subs Summerfield 5 Mr sideways and backwards passer although at least he put his usual busy effort in.

Harris 5 not on long but his great run and cross created the goal, not in Keates plans because he ain't a hoof merchant.

Manager Keates 0 stands like a Library assistant on the sidelines looks as disinterested as his players worse manager than Hughes and that's bad needs his P45 immediately, clueless waste of a wage a football killer and put his Hometown club back years.

They were up for it and have faith in their system and they way that wanted to go about winning a game of football, in complete contrast to our lot.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not excusing the players but yesterday was on one man and one man only. If that's the best he can do, if that's the way he thinks a game of football should be won then I'm really worried.
