Re: How safe is Keates?
safe as The Bank of England as the board are always right and nobody could do a better job than they are currently doing. The turncoat will only be sacked after he has firstly jizzed a load of money up against the wall on a load of shite in the transfer window and secondly he takes us down.
IF by some miracle we stay up he will be here for another season as the board will see him as some sort of messiah. We will go down next season playing Keates ball. Repeating myself I wont be back until Keates and team (sic) and the tossers that employed him are all gone. Finally Dixie McNeil, the board have got you involved in all this shite and I am sorry but you wont come out of all this smelling of roses fella but you must have known this from the outset ... more fool you |

Re: How safe is Keates?
Firstly I'd say that the appointment of keates was wrong, and Saturday was horrendous. I'm not supporting Keates but answering the question of how safe he us? Well from the board actions over the past 2 years surely Keates is unsackable until at least the end of the season. My feelings for this is that we simply cant keep having 2/3 managers a season. This is why we have no new manager bounce. The is no continuity or long term plan changing managers every 6 months which results in the players not buying into the manager as to them theyll be gone in 6months. Running the club like a circus has resulted us being in the position we are now and it's no surprise. There was a massive mess and mistakes after ricketts. Sacking Hughes could have given the board a fresh start with some fans and who ever took over from Hughes has to be given a min of 2years just to give the club credibility back. After all any decent manager wont come to us and def wouldn't leave a stable job to come as history is currently saying you'll be sacked within 6 months. Therefore I think keates was the wrong appointment but at the moment from the boards actions he is unsackable

Re: How safe is Keates?
I don’t even know what I want anymore except for the end of the season with us still in this league.
I guess though it depends what he does next... “players lacked pride and passion”... picks 10 of the starting line up for the next match... Make an example of them, make sure it’s clear you won’t stand for it. Drop the worst ones who aren’t hurting on the training pitch. If he doesn’t he seems spineless. |
