Make an example of them, make sure it’s clear you won’t stand for it. Drop the worst ones who aren’t hurting on the training pitch. If he doesn’t he seems spineless.

Problem with that is it means playing the turd Hughes brought in. Whats on the pitch is utterly terrible but whats not even making the bench is even worse if that's possible.

Sargent looked the business in midfield last season in a couple of appearances give him a chance, get Tharme in the side but no Keates won't play our kids.

This. Keates is here until the end of the season at least, regardless of league position. And to be honest, I don't want them to sack him. Not because I think he's up to the job but because I wouldn't trust them to recruit any better. Any replacement would just be another person with some prior link to the club but with little managerial credentials. It wouldn't help.

A decent manager that may not dare toe the party line wouldn't be interested anyway. Our only hope is that Keates scrapes us to survival followed by a top to bottom review of the clubs running in the summer. I'd say it's 50/50 if we'll survive at the moment. I never thought I'd be in a position where I'd be so desperate for us to finish 20th in the national league, but here we are.

this is the biggest travesty that no-one is talking about.. With Keates in charge, we might as well get rid of the youth teams as they have fat chance of actually playing. We literally couldnt get any worse and he will still bring 15 journeyman in before he gives any of the youth a chance.

totally agree its banging your head against a wall, i no we are a million miles away from the Liverpool set up,their teams thru the 60s 70s 80s thrived off the youth, so did ours at the same period,LFC reserves against a full team EFC yesterday brilliant, and the crowd have always loved their own home grown players,we need a reserve side in a league, any fkin league
