Wrexham AFC are pleased to announce that defender Kieran Kennedy’s loan has been extended until the end of the 2019-20 season.

The 26-year-old defender re-joined Wrexham from League Two side Port Vale on 19th November 2019, after a spell last January when he joined from Shrewsbury Town until the end of the 2018-19 season.

Wrexham AFC have submitted the necessary paperwork and can confirm that the parent club have a re-call clause in the agreement

Thought he was the best defender we had at Chorley.

Last Saturday was something different - playing five at the back at home with no midfield never was going to look good on the defence.

On the basis we might end up going down it is going to be even more difficult to attract players to us especially anything beyond the end of April.

Who will be next - Brett Ormerod or some out of favour cast offs from Walsall old pals society ? Expecting loans and nothing more exciting - think anyone expecting big game changers might be in for disappointment.

My gripe with him last Saturday was not down to tactics.

It was down to his lack of effort and his awful distribution.

Mind you, I will concede he blended in well with the rest of the team.
