All the signs point to him not being good enough......but lets not let that get in the way of moaning about Keates.

Always looked decent when I saw him. Didn't get the feel he was out of his depth really...When he played, did he ever have a stinker?

No he didn't and he was asked to play full back for around 80 minutes one time which he did perfectly well. And boy what a throw in !

If he's not good enough (in Keates" opinion) then get rid

To not even speak to the lad from one week to the next except to send him out on loan and not even check on his progress is a joke and says everything about what he is.

Coaching is about nurturing your team and especially young players but guess what, it's also hard work which Keates clearly doesn't want to do.Mills was exactly the same.

Brian Flynn was a master at getting the best out of young players during the 90's and the results were there to see. Going back further, so was John Neal.

People will say football has moved on but coaching philosophy remains the same. It's not rocket science but you have to want to do it

Keates doesn't want to do the graft.Get rid of him and keep Tharme I say.

May as well do the right thing by him and release him, no way he's breaking through here sadly.

At least he can try to salvage his career elsewhere before it's too late, Keates doesn't care about youth players, only cares about lining his pockets.

Where are you getting this information from, Keates doesnt speak to him?

Football is a different game to 20+ years ago, I dont get the trip down memory lane either.

Why arent these loan clubs playing him, thats the bit that sticks out for me, I personally dont feel I have seen enough of him to know. I tell you who has seen enough of him, all these managers he has "played" under.

Yeah that's the game that sticks out for me. He hasn't been given a fair chance here.

I'm not at liberty to say how I know, but I know.No reason to make it up.

Team coaching is the same in football as it is in a factory or an office.Know your team.

As I said, if Keates doesn't think he's good enough then release him. He's just being lazy shipping him out

I would personally get rid of Keates and Darlington and get in a coach/ manager who knows how to treat players with respect and we may start to make some progress

Whenever Tharme has had a chance he is/was fully supported and has done a reasonable job at centre half or full back. Having said all that what will not do him good IMO is the behind the scenes toxicity which will get worse.
Good luck to him hope he doesn’t have to look for a new club on his return.

When I say crowd are on players backs I mean the likes of young players before a certain young fullback who's name escapes me was barracked continually by the MRS.

As for Tharme everytime I've seen him play he has performed well and looks a very good prospect, also has the best throw in I've seen from us in many seasons, I would rather us persevere with our young players than some kids from league sides on loan to sit on the bench like Harris, young players won't get a chance at this club.

But as I said above a relegation fight is not a position to play them as young players lack consistency and patience is needed.

As for Keates I will keep banging on about him being a useless fraud of a manager until he's gone unless he proves me wrong which I cannot see, it's not just him Davies would be better gone off the wage bill and Darlington get some professional people in.
