The desperation to lynch the man is pathetic, the contracts and why we can't shift the players is nothing to do with him. Yes like all other fans there are serious concerns about his style etc, but we can't attribute all blame on his door.
We can't lay all the blame at his door, Hughes and the board have a large part to blame but you can't deny on the pitch we are steadily getting worse under Keates.

He didn't though. Bryan Hughes was a god awful manager, everyone can universally agree on that but in three months Keates has not improved our league position and our performances have gotten worse.

The team he inherited could have won the league if we hadn't of employed such a useless manager. It's a far better squad that he's inherited than the one he put together and he can't get a tune out of this squad. Barnum Bobb, Chambers, Barton & Szczpaniak are no where near the team, its not like we're relying on them to put in decent performances week after week. The money is there to strengthen and Dean Keates has seemingly not got a clue about how to get us out of this mess

Are they trying to drive out Keates though? Or just Darlington? Keates and Pearson are mates apparently?
I heard its Keates they want to drive out, they hate Darlington but he's only there 1 day a week.

The board have said there will be money available to spend in January, which there is. Using the excuse of not being able to ship players out to bring others in doesn't wash. The money is there to be spent and Keates can't seem to attract anyone. Harris, Tollitt, Chambers and Tharme have left recently, freeing up a decent chunk of money

Nail on head there JND. Wilkin never stood a chance, whatever his faults.

Reaping a poisonous harvest with Keates.

Bit odd for an in the know scouting account claiming to cover north east clubs to do. All because of the stick they got.
Its clearly Craig Harrison after the job.....

Heard off who though? Alot of bollocks flying about the place.

Entertaining this notion, I can see why they cant shut of Darlington, but why Keates?

The bigger question is why the board have ignored for over a year the fact that the players have no respect for and hate Darlington?
Shh that's not true, nor the fact Pearson could leave this month as he has at least one offer, but isn't one to jump ship mid season like the turncoat did!

Keates is also working around the clock to bring 'quality' in, trouble is it's a constant 'no', 'no', 'no'. As has been suggested expect a player to be brought in from Coedpoeth or somewhere because it's a body. It's that desperate and depressing.

What I find funny is the fact Keates was very critical of Wilkin's training methods and basically he was part of group who pushed him out, and now he's getting a taste of his own medicine with players saying training is boring etc.

I also remember Wilkins brother in law or brother slating keates calli g him allsorts. I could also tell you a few things about him from his time at Rhyl.

On Feb 1, when no new players have come in, Keates will say that there was no money left in the budget to pay for them, as the out of favour players would not move on, on their own volition.

Irrespective of whether we get relegated or not it is only just over 3 months to the end of the season. So if I were one of them, I might be prepared to sit on my arse until then and draw some easy money.

What a fec ng mess we are in.
