True. I admit that I was happy for Darlington to be appointed under Keates as in his caretaker stint we seemed to have improved. Most likely that was just now player revolt to get rid of Wilkin. (I would actually take Wilkin back now).

But it is clear to see that since he has been here we have witnessed the most turgid football I have seen from a Wrexham squad in over 30 years (And that includes the team that finished 92nd, the team relegated to non league too).

People will say Ricketts had us playing with flair. IMO he really didn't, he had the solid back four but managed to get the best out of the players further upfield, something Hughes, Barrow and now Keates again hasn't managed. I wouldn't say the football under Ricketts was attractive either, but I think he had the respect of the players.
