They are one of those clubs that could potentially rise much higher than their current position in the pyramid - certainly a club that is now on the up compared to 18 months ago. |

Ultimate embarrassment will be when Chester, who have only been in existence for a few short years after reforming way down the leagues, overtake us in the pyramid but we've been at it for 156 years. Ashamed to be a Wrexham fan these days and it pains me to say that but blame lies squarely with this oppressive regime. |

Re: Stockport county
Stockport County if they don't go up via the play offs this season will be up there in the next few years, a club on Man City and Uniteds Doorstep one of many clubs in the Manchester Region.
Wrexham have all North And some of Mid Wales to draw on and look at us "Heads out sand time" we are an amateurish ran club by volunteers and an arrogant clique who will do anything to cling on to power. Yes we had some crooks in the past and yes we should learn from it. But we have got rid of crooks and replaced them with an idealistic idea of fan ownership which let's be honest is limited on how far it can go because financially it's heavily dependent on gate money, so the further we fall then the gates will fall and the money coming in will drop so a vicious downward spiral is inevitable if not this season but next as all the sell on fees have come to an end. As a Wrexham fan I hold their grand old club with high regard and recall many a great day at Sealand Road watching fantastic derby matches as well as their many cup runs. Real blood and thunder football played in the mud ! Their story of renewal is different to Wrexham's, It involved the same character and different circumstances . Wrexhams supporters learnt from Chesters demise. (Mind - you wouldn't think it with todays position in the league) Some fans don't realise that Chester had, and still has many links with some Wrexham people and the current animosity displayed by some is a modern trend. C'mon the town -------C'mon City Both heading one day to The Football League.......one day |
