Re: Reid
The report appears a strange one.
Swindon manager crying poverty with big injury list claiming Reid may have to be recalled. AND not wishing to disrupt him if he was playing regularly. If Swindon are so desperate for players then they would surely recall him whether he is getting game time or not at Wrexham. Perhaps there's more to it than first meets the eye - almost a pressurized threat to 'give our player game time'. He hasn't set the world alight but there again nobody at the club has really made the right back spot their own - but at least he tries to get forward and aid our attacking play - unlike Carrington who is a steady Eddie at best and incapable of crossing the half way line or pass the ball forward - I mean why would you when it's far easier to go sideways or backwards ? We need players who will take on responsibility and 'have a go' to win a match - not sitting back expecting others to step up to the plate. Is Reid that type of player ? after all it was 0 - 0 at Chorley until he came on late second half and got forward up the right flank. |

Re: Reid
Only seen him a few times. Inconsistent? Yes!
But there is a footballer in there; and playing him at RB would allow the much maligned Carrington to replace the hapless Jennings at LB.

Re: Reid
Shame Horsfield got injured as he looked class. I’d say lose Reid but not sure who we would replace him with. Carra is generally fine but not great going forward and has had the odd mistake in him this season more than previously.

Quote:
The greater concern for me is left back - I like Jennings - a decent servant and gets in good attacking positions and sometimes gets decent crosses into the box - not many do - but defensively he has been very poor recently - in fact dreadful v Aldershot - every scoring attack / threat came down our left flank - opposition managers who do their homework will surely be channeling their attacks down our left flank - first half v Aldershot Jennings was nowhere to be seen. |
