Default Re: Chesterfield reaction (3-2)

Keates selection was based on fear of losing.
Select a workaholic midfield and hope for the best.
A new left back who hasn't played a competitive game for ages and took 35 minutes to get his first pass to one of our players.
Our defence looked awful at times and got cut to ribbons on the few occasions that Chesterfield played it on the floor. Denton is a donkey but we had no real answer to the threat he posed. Poor defending ultimately cost us the game.
2 of our better players sat on the bench while Keates sticks Ruthers at RB.
when Pearson went off.
Second half cried out for a bit of quality but we stuck with the same old "work hard" policy.
We got lucky twice yesterday, wind affected own goal with a bit of pressure from Ponticelli who was a revelation.
Second goal, Lainton got away with a lucky clearance through the legs of the attacker who was closing him down, Ponticelli took his chance really well and finished it like a striker should.
Can't understand how "so called" professional footballers can only head a ball back to the opposition and pass to them consistently. Maybe something to address on the training pitch.
It wasn't all bad as we often dominated play but couldn't finish them off.
Thought we should have gone 442 when Pearson went off and changed the midfield for footballers. Hooper didn't do a lot though so it might have been a 441.
Need a win against Torquay now. I wonder how defensive of a point we're going to be next Saturday.

It's all very well saying we should perhaps try and wind the clock down but perhaps the best way of defending is attack and keep it up the other end - the alternative would have been to sit back really deep with 10 men behind the ball - in hindsight and an end to a means in maintaining that 5 point gap it could have been the better option.
Not from a corner. Nine times out of ten it will end up in the keepers hands and result in a counter attack
Should Have played a short corner, kept possession and if an opportunity to shoot arose, do it then

Can we have one good reason why the Board refuse offers of help ? No one benefits with the current predicament of the club.

Hi Q.R

I know we disagree on things but you're a very loyal fan travel home and away regularly (something to be admired) so I like your informative reports on the game as they come over honest good or bad.

Yesterday was a management catastrophe no defender's on the bench Tharme needs bringing back. Instead 3 midfielders a run around in circles Rutherford and the liability Dibble.

He brings on Rutherford for Pearson does not freshen up the midfield sorry even at this late time in season Keates needs to go with his band of merry men before it's to late as he is a very very poor manager, a good player and that's where it ends.

Last week we were crying out for another striker alongside lazy Hooper and he left Pontcysyllte on the bench.

Well as you’ve asked.

I’m sick and tired of the way the club has been run by the 3 stooges. I’ve already mentioned the January fiasco. The football has been dire and Keates and Davies coming back was the final straw.

I was fed up of driving back to the coast feeling angry and totally pissed off. I don’t go now, I’m not that bothered anymore and that’s why I feel a lot better for it.

And this is from someone who went to his first game in 1966.

Congratulations Spencer, Mills and Jones. A perfect example of how power corrupts the mind.

Here's some news for you, whatever you're doing at the club, it's not working, you're not helping, we don't owe you any gratitude you've destroed the club from top to bottom and continue to do so. Just leave you complete and utter vankers.
