Are you saying Tranmere Rovers are successful? Or Leyton Orient? Morecambe? Norwich? Luton? Stevenage?

What is your definition of success?
Football league membership?
Promotion?
A positive bank balance?
A production line of big money transfers?

In reality, very few clubs are successful. If you’re not the Champion club, or a promoted team, your a failure. I was looking forward to promotion this season, now I’d just settle for league survival.
Success is relative. This teams play in the leagues above us, so all more successful than us.

The two pertinent examples are Tranmere and Luton who played against us not long ago. That is what real success would look like for us.

In the short term playing league 2 football would be success.

Still more prestigious than the Tunnocks cup :D

Out of curiosity, I contacted Supporters Direct's new face, the FSA (I am a member), and asked how many clubs were 100% fan owned.

I received a reply stating that they are currently compiling the statistics on the level of fan ownership within "their" 39 Community Owned Clubs. They will send me an accurate figure in due course. I look forward to their reply!
The ideologically left leaning advisors to the WST are causing the decline through wilful blindness. Until the political views of the few are separated from the running of our club there will be no reverse of the decline.
What makes you assume that the ideology is left leaning.
We hardly run a socialist model as we can only spend within our means.

Personally would like to open up to some form of duality, similar to Luton who have 2 tiers of contributors.

Oh for a benevolent supporter (s) who would chuck the millions fans want into the pot.

Please form an orderly queue.

Only for Pete coaches and co to tell you that they aren't interested, don't need your investment and that they don't need any help. If that doesn't work then the WST militant lunatic fringe like Lindsay and other minions will ensure that you are swiftly chased out of town.

Would you throw millions in knowing who's in charge of the purse strings?

Yes, bring in an investor and you’ll rise through the leagues -NOT!

Bury have already gone, Bolton will be relegated, Macclesfield are deep in debt and being sued by their players. Orient came tumbling down after being taken over by an Italian Del-boy, now Oldham are staring at administration and a 10 point deduction.
Even if we go down, we still have a functioning and viable club
I'll see your Bury, Macc, Oldham and I'll even give you Rushden and Diamonds and Darlington. However, I'll raise you with teams we used to play on a regular basis and who we are now a million miles away from. Burnley, Bournemouth, Millwall, Brentford, Preston, Swansea, Cardiff, Wigan, Luton, Wycombe, Fleetwood, Oxford, Burton, Gillingham, Bristol Rovers, Lincoln, Shrewsbury, Blackpool... The list goes on, I'm sure you get the picture.

Folk have had enough, you and your merry band of ideologists have had your chance and have failed big time, and in the process have forgotten what a professional football club is all about. You have had more than enough time, please, for the love of god, let it go and let someone else have a crack. After all, they can't do much worse.

Re: Do we need an Investor?

Investment is essential but, on its own, insufficient. We must either find a genuine buyer or reconfigure the WST structure so it becomes fit-for-purpose and genuinely accountable.
