Glad he scored against Shrewsbury, don’t care if he scores with Xxx in Xxxxxx’s Playpen other than that. He will go down in history as an awful awful human being.

There's an ex Wrexham player thread over in general football if someone cares to move this 😊

Re: Bobby Grant (again!)

Half of the problem with Grant when he was here is that he couldn’t be arsed. There is definitely a football in him, just getting him to perform was the main issue.

He has better players around him at Accrington, where as he was played out of position here and at one time was carrying the forward line on his own.

Re: Bobby Grant (again!)

From a high to a low in a fortnight.

When STFC got their second goal and pulled back to 2 - 2 v Liverpool - and looked like they could win it, Ricketts was paraded on national tv as a hero.

And then back to the bread and butter of league fixtures on a cold windy February night and a defeat to little Accrington on home soil - hero to villain but their form since Christmas has been poor - they wont go down but the natives are far from happy.

I remember the great Arsenal FA cup match - moreso because I couldn't go - but the next week having been in the national news all week we were at home in the league to Maidstone United - I turned up full of excitement and ecstatic expecting the cup fever to be buzzing - alas hardly anyone else turned up and we played out a boring 0 - 0 draw. I suppose the message is there are more low moments in football - that's what makes the high ones which rarely come around even more special for the likes of us.

Two things here. I’ve lost the count of players that did shit here under Darlington yet have gone on to be very decent when they’ve left. The other is when We eventually sack Keates, Ricketts will be back 😂

You have to be some sort of lunatic not to agree with this.

I'd welcome him back. 1000000000 times the manager Keates is.

Considering Ricketts has said he thinks there is something seriously wrong behind the scenes at the club, I cannot see him rushing back here any time soon. As for Grant, unless we are getting a fee for him (I know we aren't/won't) I don't care

Was mightily cheesed off with way Ricketts went , snake etc and I suppose I could almost allow some sort of ...boy hod club dispensation for the Dean Keats exit........................ but all of that goes to one side as there is simply no comparison and I would jump at having Ricketts back

In the build up to the Liverpool game, made a few more digs after the game aimed at 'Mr Chairman'.

Not sure, was televised live. One that sticks out was the comment about Shrewsbury's Chairman. Ricketts stated it was important to have a good Chairman and more importantly one that backed you any way they could.

Both failed at that level. Time for Ricketts to sack another coach it's never his fault.

He isn't exactly going to slag his chairman off whilst he is in the job. I wouldn't read too much into his comments and after all he never complained whilst here or when moving on about his budget or that he wasnt getting full backing here.
