I remember getting to within 3 miles of Torquays ground a few years ago in the car and hearing it was postponed . That after booking trains and overnight accommodation for an earlier match same season which was postponed because of a cup tie. Stayed over for the away match before Christmas last year and it poured down all night. We seem to be fated when it comes to matches with them.

There have been symbolic moments recently and the ground falling apart is another.

To be honest I think if the game had started it would have been abandoned at sometime.

Look outside just a slight drizzle no way would the match be in danger of being abandoned.

We had a lot of rain last night and this morning. And I'm looking out of the window and it is pouring down.
I can see our massive floodlights from my house, and still think the match would be abandoned.
Fylde and Maidstone was called off yesterday for the same reason.

That's ok at least we've saved Torquay a few quid, can put it in the pot to strengthen for the replay!

Playing in these conditions wouldn't have been good, Dags & Chesterfield matches were good examples of what these type of conditions yield in the way of ball swirling around and so on.
Gives us chance to get Pearson & Carra fully fit, could be a blessing in disguise.

Agree but dont you find it rather strange that nearly all clubs in the EFL are managing to play today including many with grounds right on the coast such as Fleetwood, Plymouth , Portsmouth etc ? Perhaps we get different weather in the National league or just a load of snowflakes !!
